Care Options

Compassion, respect, and preservation of dignity are the hallmarks of care at the Fisher Home.

Residential Care

The residential care program at the Hospice of the Fisher Home is for those who wish to receive round-the-clock care in our residence.

At-Home-Care

Our at-home or community care program is for patients who live in the surrounding area and wish to remain in their own homes.

The Fisher Home provides at-home patients with:

  • Medical supervision, nursing care, emotional support, and practical help.

  • Regular visits from our clinical staff, including our registered hospice nurses, certified nursing assistants, social worker, and spiritual and bereavement counselor. Additional visits are added as necessary.

  • Management of the ordering and delivery of medication and any necessary medical equipment to keep the patient comfortable.

If your loved one has been receiving our hospice care at home, and you decide that it would be better to move into Residential Care, we will help make the transfer as easy as possible. The same staff that delivered care at home will care for your loved one at the Fisher Home residence, thereby providing a seamless transition and continuity of care.

Our hospice residence is an intimate and homelike environment where family members are always welcome. There is a private bedroom for each patient, as well as a shared dining room, living room, and kitchen.
We also have a team of trained and committed volunteers who perform a variety of helpful tasks, such as cooking meals to order at any time of day, reading aloud, playing music, or just sitting quietly with those who want company.

Furry friends are welcome to visit residents. However, all pets must always be under adult supervision. Pets must be up to date with all required vaccinations and be free of fleas, ticks and worms.
